Statement from the Artist

I am a huge Minnesota Twins fan, so it was only fitting that that the two dogs that I got to design would be Twins fans as well. The Lab that I designed is actually named after my little brother, he is one of my best friends and a dog is one of mans best friends. So I have designed a Twins jersey on the dog with the name of “Buddy” with this years date for the jersey number. The Dachshund is my little memorial for Kirby Puckett, I was trying to imagine what Kirby Puckett would look like if he where a dog and this is what came to mind. I tied to create him with the right time frame when he played baseball. That “M” on the side of the dog is the logo that the Twins used the most during when he played along with the look of the jersey.

I wanted to express that you can take these dogs to a ball game. Because they too are big Twins fan. I could see the both of them waiting in line for bobble head. The design that I was trying to go for was something that was simple but yet straight to the point and you can easily convey my message.
